Iron core inductance, alias choke, reactor or inductor, belongs to the physical classification of power supply filter, AC and saturation choke.
Inductance coil
Inductance coils are mostly used in high frequency circuits, such as filter inductance coils, oscillating circuit inductance coils, trap coils, high frequency chokes, matching coils, noise filter coils, etc. Most inductance coils work in AC state, therefore, it belongs to the category of AC chokes and is a branch of AC chokes.
The iron core of the inductance coil is most used with ferrite cores, and also molybdenum permalloy powder cores, iron powder cores, aluminum silicon iron powder cores, amorphous or ultra-microcrystalline powder cores and precision soft magnetic alloys.
The main technical indicators of inductance coils are inductance and quality factor. In some occasions, there are also certain requirements for the temperature stability of the inductor.
