Most commercial coaxial resonators are made of copper, but aluminum is increasingly used as the housing material. The actual resonator itself (usually the inside of the housing) will be silver-plated to improve conductivity and reduce “skin loss” to help maintain high Q. The coupling loop is silver-plated copper, and the coupling loop is silver-plated. The center resonator can even be gold-plated at the far end of the high RF impedance region.
